Berry, Paul James

Spitfire Jukebox 1

After several years of silence Paul James Berry's (PJB) finally back in the studio.. Since his critically acclaimed albums 'Ginnel' and 'Nations', Berry disappeared from the radar. Why? Berry had a road accident that left his legs crushed by a 32 tonne lorry in Brighton, England. After a long rehabilitation he finally went back to the studio and he now proudly present his new album 'Spitfire Jukebox 1'. Recorded in Berlin in the vast hall of the famous UFO-Studios, an old brewery which doubled-up as a bunker in the second world war. The album consists mainly of voice with guitar or piano that gives a raw personal account of the last few years. Touches on a cathartic necessity to get through the nightmare. Specifically a song called The seven Dials - famous roundabout in Brighton - where Berry had his accident - the song starts with a recording of the actually road traffic noise, which leads into a spine-chilling frank account of the events.. This is Berry's 4th solo album and quite frankly his album stands high among some of the greatest singer/songwriter albums ever..
