Jan Blom makes no excuses for his lack of vocal talent. He refers to it on the title of his debut album "If I Could Sing" ("Als ik zingen kon"). Despite that Jan Blom made the best Dutch record of 2008. Listen to his 50e anniversary song ("Als je vijftig wordt"), his radical wishes for a New Years Eve ("Het nieuwe jaar") , his modern anti-war hymn ("Kop in t zand") and his heartbreaking Valentine song ("Valentijns klacht"). Musically Jan is assisted by producer and multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Peeters and guitarist B.J. Baartmans, two of the finest Dutch musicians, known from their work with J. W. Roy and many others. Forget Jan Smit, from now on its Jan Blom who really matters!
