From 1966 to 1981 Loulou Boislaville (1919-2001) led the famous `Groupe Folklorique Martiniquais' which Alexandre Nestoret created in 1945. With shows that gleamed with traditional music and dancing, not only on the island of Martinique but also during many tours abroad, he made a major contribution to the worldwide fame of the French West Indies.
