The Empire Strikes Back! Utrecht-based musician Bart de Kroon, aka Homemade Empire, has always been ahead of his time, but his latest endeavor brings us back to the future. His mesmerizing fourth album Fog Rolls In was pretty much set for release pre-lockdown, but was eventually kept in the vault a little longer. For this LP De Kroon has immersed himself even more deeply as a singer/songwriter in ambient drones, cowboy psychedelica & fuzz folk. De Kroon started this moniker after a life in bands like We vs. Death, Mercy Giants & Great Lake Swimmers. In 2010 Homemade Empire released his debut A Brilliant Window Niche. Subroutine cooperated in releasing Defenestration (2012) and First Trees (2015).
