Lyfthrasyr
The Engineered Flesh
After one year of silence on stage, Lyfthrasyr are finally back in late 2013 with their long-awaited third studio album. The songs are new but the trademarks already established: electronically infiltrated postmodern black metal between fury and melody, between aggression and atmosphere, between brutality and insanity. The last vestige of pure humanity in the future visions of transhumanist Aggreash supported by precision machine Nefastus (ex-Belphegor) on drums is eliminated by the cold and brutal sound of Fredrik Nordstrom (Studio Fredman) and Mika Jussila (Finnvox Studios). It took more than 4 years of work to create this opus - more than for the first two albums together. As a result, eight unique and fascinating songs were made alive which are for sure the new peak of Aggreash's craft in 10 years of band history. Nearly the same effort has been put to the artwork which was developed by Simon Bossert (Metal Artworks) and perfectly tailored in deep detail work to the overall concept as well as the single songs. Together they create an outstanding masterpiece of art. The success story of the first two albums and various concerts, tours, and festivals will be extended in 2013 by at least one chapter.
