Second full length of the highly appreciated alternative metal threesome from Melbourne. Again, its a more than a 70 minutes assault of inventive metal mayhem. Pinning down a genre to tag on Spider Goat Canyon is impossible. Everything from riff rock, doom, post-hardcore and avant-garde is represented here on the albums dozen tracks. While it might sound like a discordant mess, Cacophonic sounds nothing like its namesake. These groove based noise merchants are like collaboration between Zombi, The Melvins, Neurosis, Shellac, Dj Shadow and Tool.
